This is an exemplar vase from the geometric period, decorated with funerary representations. It was used as a funerary monument and was bottomless; this was so that the family could perform libations offering wine, honey and milk, which could reach their beloved deceased. On one side there is the representation of the funeral and in the other mourning women. Archaeologists believe that the representation of animals indicates that the deceased was probably a hunter.
