Hydria with Women

Ancient Greeks liked to represent moments of everyday life on their pottery. This is a black figure hydria depicting women who have gone to the spring to collect water. Usually, hydria pottery is black on the back side. On this hydria we have added a scene from another one, depicting athletes washing at the baths.
