Calix Crater depicts on one side the wedding processions of Peleus, King of Myrmidons, and Nereid Thetis; the bride and the groom are standing on a chariot drawn by four horses while the Gods are paying homage to the couple. Peleus holds the bridles, while Thetis receives a wreath from Eros. Apollo is moving toward Thetis playing music with his Lyre. Goddess Hekate is behind him holding two torches. In front of the quadriga stands Hermes holding the “kerykeion”. Behind Peleus, is Aphrodite with a sceptre, crowning Peleus.

On the other side we have painted a scene from a different crater, representing Apollo at the Delphi oracle and pilgrims bearing offerings.
